Dipl.-Phys. Thomas Schliesch, Head of Research & Development, Max Baermann GmbH Thomas Schliesch graduated in Physics from university of Hamburg in 1988 and joined the Max Baermann GmbH, which is a well known manufacturer of bonded magnets in Germany, in 1989. Since 1993 he is head of research & development at Max Baermann GmbH. Thomas has filed various patents for permanent magnetic systems. He devoted to electromagnetic design and the development of specific methods for bonded permanent magnets. He is member of the IEEE Magnetics Society, The UK Magnetics Society as well as the International Compumag Society. Dipl.-Phys. Thomas Schliesch has been presenting a lot during the last years at different conferences and meetings. Examples are the Magnetics conference in the USA (nearly every year since 2011), twice at the Intermag conference of the IEEE Magnetics Society, at the AMM 2013 in Finland, MCMA and SMMA conferences in the USA, ANSYS user conferences in Germany, International Symposium of Electromagnetic Fields (EMF 2003) or recently in March at a Symposium of the UK Magnetics Society. In total it should be much more than 20 presentations since 2000.
